SS7ware, Inc. joins Facebook-led Telecom Infra Project
February 22, 2016 - Barcelona, Spain
SS7ware, Inc. joins the Telecom Infra Project initiated by Facebook along with Deutsche Telekom, EE, SK Telekom, Intel Corporation, Nokia, and other members of the mobile ecosystem. The TIP aims to redefine the current approach to cellular network technology and bring connectivity to the unconnected billions around the world.
As a member, SS7ware will work with carriers, equipment providers and system integrators to provide mobile networking equipment for efficient, cost-effective infrastructure.
Announced during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this year, the Telecom Infra Project sets to accelerate innovation and make mobile technology more available in parts of the world where infrastructure is lacking.
SS7ware has always been committed to providing affordable, flexible and innovative mobile networking equipment. Our products – the YateUCN unified LTE/GSM core network, the SatSite LTE/GSM base station, and the YateHSS/HLR – are designed having in mind simplicity for network deployment and management in urban as well as rural areas.
SS7ware equipment is built on a 'beyond SDN approach', combining the virtualization and automation from network function virtualization (NFV) and the programmable nature of software-defined networking (SDN). This allows a better control over the network scalability and performance, and generates savings on operation, management and training.
Based on close collaboration between its members – mobile operators, system integrators, and equipment providers –, the Telecom Infra Project joins in on sustained efforts from the industry to connect the next billions. According to the GSMA, only 3.5 billion people were estimated to own a mobile subscription at the end of 2014.
The Telecom Infra Project will 'focus on developing new technologies and exploring new approaches to deploying in both developed and emerging markets'. For more information please visit http://telecominfraproject.com, www.yatebts.com, or contact us at office@ss7ware.com

  • Yate has virtually everything that Tag&Rename had but two things: 1) When renumbering the files, please give the user the option in the Preferences section, the ability to add a leading 0 or 00 to track numbers as well as retaining the current format that you use, as currently it's renumbering them '1 - Track Name'.
